Who this covers
JDM Inc is a Florida corporation, also registered to do business in California. This policy describes what happens to personal information on this website.
It does not cover software you run yourself. If you deploy our software inside your own infrastructure, the documents and queries it processes stay in your environment. We do not receive them and we cannot see them.
What we collect when you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you provide it, and whatever you write. We use that to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation.
What we collect when you visit this site
We use PostHog for website analytics. On this site it collects:
the pages you view and the links and elements you click
the page or search that referred you here
an approximate location, derived from your IP address
your browser, operating system, screen size and device type
a session recording, which is a replay of your visit including mouse movement, scrolling and clicks
We want to be direct about that last one, because people are often surprised by it: your visit to this site is recorded and can be played back by us. We use it to understand how the page reads and where people get stuck. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not combine it with information from anywhere else.
Analytics identifiers are stored in your browser’s local storage rather than in cookies. The site is hosted by Framer, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with advertisers, we do not run advertising or retargeting pixels on this site, and we do not buy data about you from anyone else.
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of service providers, and they only process information on our instructions:
PostHog Inc. (United States) — website analytics and session recording
Framer B.V. (Netherlands) — website hosting
Hostinger — email and DNS
This means information about your visit is processed in the United States and in the European Union.
How long we keep it
Analytics events and session recordings are kept according to PostHog’s retention settings for our account. Email correspondence is kept for as long as it is useful to the conversation and to our records.
Your choices
You can prevent analytics and session recording by using a tracking blocker or privacy-focused browser, which will block the scripts before they run.
You can also write to us and ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will do that.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to object to or restrict how we use it, to receive a copy in a portable form, and to complain to your data protection authority.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what we collect, to have it deleted, to have it corrected, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. As above, we do not sell or share it.
To exercise any of these, email us and say what you would like. We will not treat you differently for asking.
Children
This site is aimed at people doing compliance work. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how any of this works, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
